This is fantastic, tense and fast moving. we are thrown into a completely alien and terrifying environment with Thomas, the main character, who has no recollection of who he is or where he came from. the chapters are short and snappy, one event leading straight into another so that we are continually reassessing the world Thomas is in. What is brilliant about this story is how inventive Dashner is, I had no idea where this was going. The ending is abrupt-just after the nightmare is over another begins......great stuff! Now, straight to book 2!
