The first book I have read by this author. Drawn to the interesting cover and blurb, I was taken with how unique and special the story was. Cast into a cave for thousands of years after he tried to measure time, Dor is sent back to the world to find it changed due to man's preoccupation with time and its passing. He comes to help two people, one clinging to life and one wanting to end it prematurely. Albom writes simply but with truth and clarity. He goes to the very heart of what it means to be human. I love Dor's words "God limits our days..........to make each one precious." Fans of "The Shack" and Jostein Gaarder will like this. I loved it.
