I loved this book. A hypnotising story about Michael Salter, a nineteen year old who disappeared from his home in the highlands fourteen years ago. His aunt claimed she drowned him him in the loch during a row, which the family covered up. Years later we find out the truth. The writing wonderful, Gillies captures the gloom and claustrophobia of the loch and manages create an atmosphere of suspicion and mystery. Incredible talent, a fantastic read.
