A futuristic, apocalyptic story of life in a massive underground silo. The world is an uninhabitable wasteland, filled with poisonous gas. The people in the silo have have a regimented life, where non-conformity results in their expulsion into the outside. A fascinating read, I felt immersed in this enclosed world. It has an oppressive and bleak feel to it which really reflects the conditions in the silo. Slow moving at times but I am keen to see where this trilogy is going.
